PROGRAM
With The Intelligent Kitchen, award-winning kitchen designer Lisa Wilson-Wirth, CKD, focuses on the ingredients of a well designed + sustainable kitchen — specifically, elements that enhance well-being, lifestyle and health. Looking beyond “Green 1.0,” Lisa focuses on innovative technologies and their practical application — that taken together, support a sustainable lifestyle. From induction and LEDs, to alternatives to the microwave, smarter sinks and faucets — the tools to create The Intelligent Kitchen will be thoroughly explored; along with strategies for putting “technology to the service of the everyday” and tactics for reconnecting with the act of cooking at home.
SPEAKER BIO: LISA WILSON-WIRTH, CKD
An NKBA certified kitchen designer, Lisa has won national + regional design awards for her residential work. Focusing on creating professional-quality culinary environments for the home chef, Lisa regularly collaborates with homeowners + the trade on the design of sustainable, modern kitchens that enhance clients’ well-being, lifestyle and health, through the application of smart technologies + creative design solutions. Designer of what Bon Appétit magazine named “The New Dream Kitchen.” Lisa’s San Diego kitchen studio was recognized as one of the country’s top-designed showrooms by Nielsen’s K+BB magazine, and her work has been featured in local, regional, & national publications, including Bon Appétit, Remodeling, Qualified Remodeler, LUXE, Riviera, and San Diego magazines. She is a frequent author + speaker on topics that include Green design + enhancing the role of the kitchen in the home.
